So what makes this place so special?

Why is it called The Golden Triangle many people ask?
The area between Newmarket Rd, Lime Tree Rd and Ipswich Rd forms a triangle and in the 1800s this was where all the successful businessmen lived to escape the then-unhygienic conditions of the busy city. A wall enclosed the city and contained its mayhem, however, if you were rich enough you could live in a fabulous large house in the triangle, because of its wealth it became known as the Golden Triangle. Over the years the triangle has expanded and now Earlham Road and Mile End Road is considered part of it. A stroll down Newmarket Rd will give you an idea of the size of some of the houses, there are huge prestigious homes here and more along Lime Tree Road. The top end of Unthank Rd is quite similar, then as you head back to the city you'll come across many Victorian terraced homes. These homes were built between 1860 -1900 and are now known as the heart of The Golden Triangle.
The Golden Triangle attracts many students, professionals, and families. If you're moving to the area with children you'll be pleased to know there are many good schools with good Ofsted reports. Recreation Road Infant School is one of the best, but also very hard to get into, families try to move as close to this school as possible because of its great reputation, it has an outstanding Ofsted report.
If it's all about location for you then The Golden Triangle is a prime example of a fabulous location. It has heart, it has energy, it has culture, it has community and it's just a short walk from the city centre. Buying and renting a property in this area will always be popular.
