Norwich has plenty to offer and that includes great pubs!

In no particular order, we have compiled a list of pubs in Norwich to visit in summer.

The Belgian Monk

If you are looking for a cultural and unique experience with a diverse range of beers on offer, then the Belgian Monk is the place to be. Serving over 45 forms of beer, each paired with its own exclusive glass, the pub seeks to offer not just a drink but the whole ‘Belgian experience.’ A quaint beer garden can be found to the rear of the property, which is doused in sunlight and at the right hour it provides the perfect setting to enjoy a chilled, ‘tasty blonde.’

It's not just the Belgian beer that's great but the food is too!

Wig and Pen, Norwich

The Wig and Pen pub in Norwich has been about since the 17th century; serving real ales today and probably way back then as well. Its name was originally The White Lion but back in 1985 but changed its name to The Wig and Pen because of its proximity to the magistrates' courts.

The Murderers

A period-looking pub with sophisticated features from its 1530 origins. Although the name derives from somewhat morbid times involving an estranged husband and his wife, the pub is significantly more upbeat in modern times and is always buzzing with activity. Seen as a hub of live sport, ‘great beer and fantastic food’ are promised and the establishment rarely fails to meet expectations. A great pub that delivers fantastic live music events throughout the week, that are too good to miss.

Coach and Horses, Norwich

The Coach and Horses started as a pub in Norwich in 1813 and still going strong today. Nowadays The Coach and Horses have its own brewery which supplies the pub with all its ales. Situated opposite Norwich train station and a stone's throw from Norwich City Football stadium it makes for a popular pre-match get-together.

The Lamb Inn, Norwich

This pub is one of the oldest pubs in Norwich and rumour has it that it's haunted by three ghosts.

However, we'll talk more about the ghosts at Halloween because right now they're celebrating summer in a big way! They're giving away 2,500 Aperol Spritz drinks during July and they've got a gin hamper competition on the go. The Lamb Inn is dog-friendly.

The great British pub is unique and pubs are the heart of many communities. When it comes to good pubs Norwich has plenty of them!
